VSI is not just another software reseller. We are experienced manufacturing specialists who focus on lean principles and also implement new systems.
We help to identify and solve manufacturing strategy problems for small to medium manufacturers in the UK using a range of integrated solutions.
VSI have worked with hundreds of sites that use Sage 50 and Sage 50 Manufacturing and have won three awards as a manufacturing industry specialist in the Sage community.

How We Started
Following an extensive career in manufacturing and manufacturing software consultancy, Richard identified the need for an experienced, software partner that focussed on solving problems and not just making software sales.
Businesses need a trusted consultant who will help them to rethink and fine-tune their manufacturing strategy and set up systems to help support that.
In 2006, as a consultant with a wealth of knowledge of the industry, Richard founded VSI to provide small manufacturers with manufacturing and IT process improvement.
About Richard
Richard Jarvis is a Fellow in Manufacturing Management of Cranfield University and completed a program of Change Management at Cranfield Business School. He, and the VSI team, have supported many customers in the last 18 years.

Reducing Lead Times with BOM Structures
A client of ours was using Sage 50 Manufacturing but thanks to our insight was able to cut their manufacturing lead time to about 40%. By looking at the finer details, we re-engineered their BOM structure allowing them to manufacture sub-assemblies and hold these as tactical stock.
This change in manufacturing strategy made their manufacturing far more responsive. They could then respond to customer demand from the sub assembly level, not the raw material level, meaning they were far more agile and had less stock laying around.
